Leadership-Link

Organizations in Motion

Providing an external perspective on your internal priorities

Your company culture is a reflection of how you work together and treat each other. It is smart to engage your employees as you build your team and company culture, but it is often valuable to engage a neutral party with an outside perspective.

Leadership-Link has built and customized programs to help you and your company:

  • Create or refresh a Vision, Mission, and set of Core Values that align and inspire everyone in the company.
  • Increase the effectiveness of your leadership teams through facilitated workshops and support.
  • Establish clear and consistent approaches to decision-making and governance systems.
  • Disrupt unconscious bias before it interferes.
  • Design and implement a hiring and interviewing process that helps you hire the best talent.
  • Develop custom programs for your internal team to implement and own.

Workshops

There is no single Organizations in Motion® sequence. We shape the work around the organization, the people involved, and the priorities that need attention.

Psychological Safety Gets the Best Thinking on the Table

How do we create, cultivate, and sustain a culture of trust and psychological safety? When people believe they can contribute fully, the best thinking reaches the table. When safety is high and standards are high, you get high performance. Everyone has to feel safe sharing thoughts, ideas, and dissent.

Create a Culture of Feedback

In a fast-moving, complex environment, we need the best thinking from everyone. This workshop teaches participants to share candor with care, using a conversation model for difficult conversations and techniques for increasing inclusiveness in every conversation.

Work Effectively in a Matrix Environment

Effective cross-functional teams operate within a culture of accountability, follow a decision-making approach that makes decisions stick, and communicate up and out to every stakeholder. This workshop explores the real challenges and real benefits of matrixed work, then builds the tactics that make it function.

High-Impact EQ at Work

For anyone who wants to understand their own responses to emotionally charged situations and build the tools to manage those responses for positive impact.

Thrive in Change: Agility for Today’s World

For all employees going through change, which is to say, everyone. We explore the phases of change, how to manage your personal response, how to use the circle of control to choose the best response, and how your own brain works against you in the middle of it.

Lead Through Change: The Platinum Rule of Leadership

For leaders who have to support others through a change while going through it themselves and keeping the business running. We explore the phases of change and the words, feelings, and behaviors you will observe in each one, and how the leader’s response has to adapt to the individual in front of them.

Make Meetings Matter

Nobody has ever said they love going to meetings, and yet we spend more than half of our working lives in them. We know a great deal about what makes meetings work. We just do not consistently do it. Participants build an action plan for planning and running meetings that earn their time.

Interviewing for a Great Match

Missed hiring decisions are expensive. With one hour to meet a candidate, you have to maximize it. This workshop builds competency-based questions and a rating scale for evaluating responses fairly, so the interview produces information good enough to decide on.

Impact with DiSC or Insights Discovery

DiSC and Insights Discovery are work style assessments that help people understand their own style and the styles of others. This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of all styles and applies them directly to team communication and collaboration. Available as a team session or as a company-wide deployment.

Raise Awareness of and Combat Unconscious Bias

If you have a brain, you are biased. Our brains hardwire and categorize experience, which is useful right up until it perpetuates a stereotype or produces a reaction that does not match reality. This workshop is highly interactive around a personal topic and asks participants to be open in the discussion.

Ensure a Respectful Workplace

Building a culture of respect requires everyone to be committed to avoiding harassment in the workplace and in all work-related settings. Do you know how to recognize it? Do you know when you are legally obligated to report it? We work through real workplace scenarios. The first 90 minutes are for everyone. The final 30 minutes address the leader’s additional responsibility for managing harassment and discrimination anywhere in the organization.

Strategic Partnership Management

A two-part series on seeing vendors as partners and managing strategic partnerships that create value for both sides. Session 1, Effective Communication and Crucial Conversations, covers communicating deliverables and quality standards, navigating crucial conversations that build accountability, and adapting to changing dynamics. Session 2, Influence and Persuasion, covers rational and emotional appeals, negotiation, and concrete steps to increase influence in existing vendor relationships.

Every session includes:

  • 2 or 3 hour workshop (in person or virtual)
  • Action Commitment follow up
  • Support for managers to reinforce learning
  • Access to the Leadership-Link On-Demand portal
